An invitation to members of the Vincentian Family aged 16 years and over.


FAMVIN Australia welcomes you to a Vincentian Family Gathering in preparation for the World Youth Day festival in Sydney 2008. The Event will be hosted by St Stanislaus College, Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia. Bathurst is a town of 30,000 people. It is 2½ hrs by road over the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. You will find here some information to help you in your planning for this event. More information will be made available in the coming months.


The FAMVIN Gathering will begin on Wednesday evening, 9th July 2008. You should arrive in Bathurst by 5pm, Wednesday 9th July. Pilgrimages before the Bathurst event are available via Harvest Youth Tours or All accommodation from Wednesday evening until Monday morning will be on-site or close by. All meals will be included in your stay. The gathering will conclude with a liturgical celebration on Sunday 13th July. Transfers to Sydney on Monday 14th for the World Youth Day celebrations will be arranged. Please note that all participants are to be 16 years or over. Participants aged 16 and 17 must be accompanied by a guardian.


Costs for the FAMVIN Gathering have not been set as yet. The costs for WYD registration can be viewed at . Registration and costs for the WYD event will be separate from the FAMVIN Gathering registration and pre-Bathurst pilgrimages. If you are having difficulties with travel expenses for the event, please contact us and we can direct you to organisations for support.

Join in the International Festival!!!

Prepare a song, dance, poem or any other presentation that you can perform to share your culture with the rest of the world. Each group will have 5 minutes to perform. You are welcome to bring banners and flags!
