MEGVIS 2003.
In the week after Easter, 85 participants came together
for the annual MEGVIS (Central European Vincentian Studies Group)
meeting. They came from nine western and central European countries.
These meetings
have been held for more than 20 years and are organized by the Provinces
of Austria, Germany and the Netherlands. Because many provinces are
celebrating a jubilee this year, the main theme of the meeting was
the foundation of the Congregation of the Mission and the Daughters
of Charity and their establishment in Austria 150 years ago (1853).
Sr. Alfonsa Richartz, DC, gave a talk on both these themes. Among
others themes, they also spoke about Blessed Durando and about the
actual
situation of the mission in China.
